I have been trying to get my hands on one of these guys for a while. Had a few a couple years ago that I caught while walleye fishing, but haven't seen any since. If anyone has any or can get(legally of course) a few (2-4) and would be willing to sell for a reasonable amount, let me know. Preferably 6-8+ inches in length. I have a scientific supply company that I have been in contact with who can supply me with a minimum of ten 10-15 inch specimens for a little over $100, so if you want too much more than $10 per, I'll probably just find some interested people and order the lot of 10 to re-sell the extra ones.
I live in Albany, and I could either meet you or pick them up. I won't due shipping due to their temperature requirements and the fact that there are quite a few salamanders that in their larval state people mistake for these guys. I don't want to be stuck with a tiger salamander in a few months, so I want to be able to I.D. them beforehand.
