It's a L001 (Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus)
On average will reach 12inches in a home tank but has been reported up to 16 inches. I've never heard of a max size.

No problem.
I have one right now at about 11 inches. Their pattern seems to fade as they get bigger. From the pictures, I'd say the one you posted is over 8 inches and 4+ years old.
