When i got him from rep store he was up for sale as a common and he has this lovely irredecent colour , abit like a rainbow but not as much is this normal in a common as i aint seen it in any pics before..... Here is another pic from when i first got him you can see the irredecent colour on his tail and on the back end

Mexican boa all the way.

Here's a page with a little info on them:

Here's mine, which I got as a baby from 2 parents that were long-term captive, but originally brought into the country as WC babies.

Some of them get darker as they get older, others turn tan-ish in color. The pattern on mexican's is unmistakable, though...the pattern of their saddles are completely different.

She is so pretty lovely colour and thanks for the link :D

looks like a maxicana to me...but im not that great at judgeing snakes...seeing as we dont have them here in hawaii...but i have read and such and like i said looks like a mexicana to me...

The more i read the more im thinking your right, Mexican he is then:headbang2Kool Thanks guys

Whats even loonier is that you're in the UK...pure blooded mexicans are pretty rare in the US. You'll see a lot of the mixed with Central American boas that retain that tan color that red-tails have but show the busier, less defined patterned that mexican boas have.

Either way, nice boa!

nice looking snake
