Common Pleco - Acrylic

Would a common pleco be a bad idea for an acrylic aquarium?

I have two 10 inch commons in my acrylic tank and there is no evidence of damage. They have been in there one year. I do feed them well but they graze the sides often and no divots to see. Ymmv

That's good to know, just need to figure out what to stock my 300 gallon with.
Still cycling and setting it up and can't seem to make up my mind.
Don't have any other freshwater tanks at the moment so I have no future inhabitants.
Once this one is close I'll start my 75 gallon grow out tank for it.
