I have a question to ask. is this a normal color for a common pleco?
he eats fine water chemistry is fine as well theres seems to be nothing wrong with him but his color. is what i have is rare?
LFS that i got him from claims that he's part of a wild caught batch of baby plecos. had him for about 2 months now.

That is an albino chocolate, strangely enough they are considered a common pleco and are found classified under as a common Pterygoplichthys pardalis. Even stranger there are different strains of the albino chocolate. That one is what I refer to as a 'dirty' albino chocolate. Where it is not so much albino looking.

The final tidbit is that albino chocolates are man-made.

Rare is a tricky word for these guys, I've only seen 2-3 of these dirty albino chocolates but they are not worth anymore then the other albino chocolates

After a quick search online this was as close as I could find, but is no where as dark as yours
