Common pleco growth?

I have had my pleco for just over a year now and he is about 10'' long. I'm just wondering if i should expect him to get much larger. I read somewhere that said the average full sized adult of a common is about 18''. I dont know too much about plecos and I'm just looking for a little help. thanks!

Mines about 17" right now. Mine slowed down abit after 1' depending on tank size I'd say urs will hit 18" in about 2yrs dependent on diet

thanks. that sounds good to me. I've been feeding him algae wafers and a variety of vegetables. What type of wafers do you guys recommend?

Mine stopped eating veggie stuff and only started eatting the meaty foods that the catfish didn't eat
