Common Snapper/Western Painted

All 3! And of course... they are hanging out on PJ( PJ=Puggy GF named him/Jaws i picked)
They all get along and they all like to eat fingers! He's starting to get fiesty! Just wanted to show a picture i thought was cute.... Happy Holidays Everyone!

Seperate them right now. I dont care if you say you have never had any problems with them before just put them in different tanks. You can keep the painters together, they look like they are 1.1 so you should not have any problems. Make sure you get the snapping turtle out of their and keep him by himself.

ALSO, what kind of lights are you using? The shell does dont look normal to me.

Umm the snapper is still small and you can do what you want... "I don't care" keep your happy holidays to yourself.... lol..... The shell i'm trying to figure out... could this be shell curl? Anyone answer besides the cartoon looney over here please... lol... and he thinks americans are rude! bah humbug!

Those are nice looking turtles. I don't know much about shell curl. I will research this and get back to you. Nice turtles though.

Quite the puzzler isn't it...

However, it is a good idea to separate them in the near future. Snapping turtles just don't care. I had my five-inch snapper in one of those big kiddie pools (540 gallons I think) and I put a three-inch snapper in there thinking they had enough space and they'd be fine. Well, I came home one day to find the big one gnawing off the little one's tail, which subsequently fell off and the smaller turtle came to be known as Nubby. So while they're fine now, your painted turtles will be better off not living with a large snapping turtle.

Now if only we could teach Ztrip some manners
