Common Wolf Fish

Hello, I have the chance to get a 2" wolf fish from my lfs. They have it labeled as a "Trinidad wolf fish", but I'm assuming it's a common as it looks a lot like it. My question is about general care for them. I've kept a rainbow before but never a common. Is it possible to later keep them in a community predator tank later on? How fast do they grow as in when should it be around 6 inches or so? Are there factors that play into aggression of the fish that I could change while its young to make it milder? Thanks.

I know the fish store you are talking about I bought one today. They are common wolf fish and with the right care they will reach 12" in the first year.

My Trinidad Wolf was a common. I like his colors compared to my new Peruvian commons. Unfortunately he died back in November. Gotta wait and see if my lfs gets them again. He's the bottom one.
