Hoplias malabaricus vs gulper catfish these 2 live in the same region, not putting them together or anything. Just curious if the gulper was 12 inches the wolf was around 15 inches. What do you think would happen? would the gulper still have lunch?
The gulper would eat the wolf if the mala wander into the gulper area, while the mala won't do anything to the gulper cause it's not on the mala daily food menu...
i have seen mala attack and kill big catfish like clairs when pissed off or jaguar cichlids. BUt a gulper is something else. I guesss the gulper would just eat the mala. I think the mala would make the first move though. Gulpers dont seem to eat fish unless the fish gets in its face. Then they attack and gulp with full force. THose arrows being eaten must have done something to the gulper. Because fish that dont bug my gulper like plecos or other catfish don't get eaten. Its just cichlids or aggressive fish.
in the wild i think these two cross paths also with each other and pirana i wonder what happens? GULPERs much be really high on the tropic level being able to swollow double their size.
