I'm bored, so I will be making a list of plants that tend to be safe with herbivorous species. If you have personal experiences, please post!

Anubias are a safe bet, but plecos and pacus can uproot it. Best on driftwood

Hornwort is an amazing floater for herbivores as it needs little light and most herbivoes find it icky, as do snails.

Most bog plants like bamboo are good, but such plants must be grown partially out of water and are tough to keep.

Java moss and java fern are tasteless, but I have heard that they can be toxic. At any rate, fine with plecos and pacu.

Not a good way to excite people to post in your thread

Chalceus eat fresh growth.
NGT shreds leaves

Did you try it? :popcorn:

I tried java fern, it tastes like dandelion. ... I tried dandelion too. It tastes like romaine lettuce, only slightly bitter-er.

Onion plant isn't eaten by tinfoil barbs, but java fern is. The onion's leaves are very tough. The barbs can damage the leaf ends initially but they give up right away on eating it. They won't eat java moss but it is continually uprooted unless it is firmly attached.

I have a question to all herbivore owners: Has anyone ever tried:
Pellia, mini pellia, riccia, dwarf riccia or subwassertang;
with herbivorous fish?

I am interested in these strange liverworts. Especially the subwassertang.
