Ok im setting up a 150g thats 72x18x27. Would it be possible to breed umbee, festae, blue dovi, and jd all in this tank.

I Don't think that will work at all , Mel-O had a 1,000 gallon tank and tried to have a pair of Umbee, festae, and something else and it worked for a little while but then one day that male umbee killed his WC female festae and hurt the male pretty bad ... I know sometimes some people get lucky with some combinations of fish cohabing but Seiously I think the odds would be better to win the lottery then them the pairs of Umbee, festae,Dovi Cohabing in a 150 ... it could work if they are all very young but just saying eventually there would be a world war III in that tank.

nonono they could all live in this tank.. but just till they grow up, once the doviis get big, they will run that tank. if i were you, i would just get 2 doviis and breed those. they are the best bet

Have to agree all those fish are big fish even jd's reach10 inches or better and the umbee and dovi over2 feet. With lots of hiding places may work for jd and festae but have heard the festae get real nasty when they have fry. So far we have been lucky our festae have left the other fish in our 230 alone.

well I have two tanks to split those number of fish up in i have a 110g i plan to keep the festae and jds in and in the 150g the umbee and dovii. I know they would be able to live in there forever but i have a 550g pond to put them in when there full grown. BTW i didnt know umbee and dovii both get 2ft !? lol

JC09 are those your pair of festae their beutys

One more thing how big are the dovii, umbee, and festae when they start breeding. I already know the jds i have a breeding pair of those in the 110g now.

I wish I could help you at what size the umbee and dovi start breeding but a 110 is not going to be big enough for a festae pair and jd pair unless you use 1 pair in ech tank. Even the festae can reach 16 inches but they are slow growing. What are the dimensions of your pond but it is doubtful the pond will be big enough for the umbee and dovi. As mentioned before the guys 1200g tank resulted in dead fish and all but the jd here are super agressive fish. Dovi's are know for their high agression to all fish. But I do like the collection you have like all of us you just need a couple more bigger tanks good luck hope you can get them all breeding/

PLAN 1---I haven't gotten any except my breeding pair of jds. Ok so this is my new plan. In the 110g 2 jds and 2 carp. vontehillo. Then in the 150g 2 umbees and 2 festae. And the 2 doviis and 2 peacock in the pond. All of them pairs and hopefully breeding, how does that sound?

PLAN 2--Ok so im think the umbee and festae together will be a problem if ^ wont work, what about jd and festae in 150 and the umbee alone in 110g until they reach 14-15 inch which i hear takes awhile and would have many spawns before that. And the 2 doviis and 2 peacock in the pond

PLAN3-- Opposite 2 try to pull of jds and festae in 110g and put umbee alone in 150g?

MFKRS plan---??? :)

I still think you are not realizing the size and anger these fish posess You might get away with the jd and festae in the 110 as the festae will breed around 6 inches. The others I have no idea how big they have to be how big are they now. You will need more room though no matter what as I am assuming you mean peacock bass when you say peacock because peacock bass also reach at least 28 inches. I am guessing even your pond is to small for a pair of any of these fish but the festae and jd. You are lucky you live in Florida if you can build another even bigger pond. Also google breeding these fish and see what size ponds or tanks are recomended.
