I have a 55 gallon community cichlid tank. Would a Silver-tipped Shark get along with geos and a chocolate cichlid and a goby? And i know they get huge.

Silver tipped shark? You mean Columbian right? Well, the columbian and the goby would both require brackish water. But if your set on putting the choclate and geo in there. You could have them in another tank and slowly build the the salt in that tank until it reaches the same as the tank the goby and the shark would be in. So they arn't shocked by the instant change in salinity. Also, what type of goby would you be getting?

I was thinking of getting a spotted gunon. If not the Columbian than what about a Iridescent Shark?

and they do better in at least small groups, so no I definitely wouldn't recommend them for a 55 gallon community. I actually wouldn't really recommend them for anyone generally because there are very few aquarists who can properly care for a 3 foot schooling fish.

Is there a potential that these fish can be rehomed once they start outgrowing the 55? If so then to what size tank? That will help in being able to determine what you could go with now. ;)

It would go in a 75 gallon tank.
