I want to add some communtiy fish that can live with my true paroon shark without getting eaten. I'm looking for a school of fish.
I know of silver dollars and tinfoil barbs. But is there any other community fish that school together and would be able to live my paroon shark?
At this point he is only about 8 inches but has a HUGE mouth
Any ideas?
Thanks

With a cat that has a mouth that big, will grow thst fast and will get that huge, there's not much that could be expected to last.

This is a prime example of "never trust a catfish".

Lemon fin barbs come to mind as they get larger than tins but it would be challenging finding some that already have good size.

peacock bass would be good tank mates

What time frame are we talking? I assume this is not a "for life" question. In a small tank, chances are ~ nothing will survive or thrive with a large paroon.

I think it is a "for a while" question.

Well he is only 7-8 inches as of now.. In a 150 gallon all by himself until he is around the 12-14 inch mark then I'm going to setup a small indoor pool pond for him. I just don't want him to be the only guy in the tank or the pond... He's been alone for his whole life so I kinda want to give him a few mates if possible.
