Community Stocking

So I have changed my mind once again. I'm going to with a Community Tank.

The tank is going to be a planted 40. XP3 filtration.

What I'm thinking:

6 of a smaller cory species.

6 Melanotaenia boesemani

(12 Paracheirodon axelrodi
or
Hemigrammus rhodostomus
or
Trigonostigma heteromorpha)

1 Gnathonemus petersii

Maybe 2 Xiphophorus hellerii

And I also want some type of invert.

Please give me lots of constructive criticism!

i'd keep the corrys, but i'd supplant your list with a large school of tetras, perhaps lemon. and a smaller school of bleeding hearts. I'd add in a couple strange cats, like a porthole or hoplo catfish. and add a few hatchets. Perhaps an angelfish or two.

^I want angels but the tank is only 17.5" tall, they should have about 24" of depth.
