I am trying to decide what to buy for lighting on my 55 gallon tank.

Im leaning toward the coralife aqualight, but they have two models, the single strip or dual strip.

The single has max output of 130W, and the dual is 260W.

I am assuming i will need the 260w for growing plants, but i want this to be a community fish tank as well, so is this too much light for the fish??

I use the coralife T5 dual strip on my 55. It supports plant life very well and the fish look great under it. They never seem to hide so it must not bother them:)

Howdy,

I have the Coralife Freshwater Aqualight for my tank. Works great. 384 W compact fluorescent for 220 gal.
