Community to Large Fish Tank

Right now I have a community tank and I want to turn it into a large fish tank. I planned on getting a Ornate Bichir and some larger cats (Giraffe nose and Synodontis). What are some good fish to go with them that will stay more in the middle of the tank?

I have a 150 gallon long.

Also what fish do I need to take out of the tank on this list? Some are very obvious but I will ask anyways:

Swordtails
Large Tiger Barbs
Large Rainbow Sharks
Large Mongoose Loaches
6"+ Blue Red Tail Loaches (Modesta)
YoYo loaches
Petsmart synodontis (I believe a hybrid) 6+ inches
Raphael catfish - 6 inches
Golden Algae Eater
Assortment of smaller tetras (blackskirts, lamp eyes, ect ect)

Pretty sure most of it is going to go but I would like to keep the Modesta, synodontis, raphael catfish and the sharks, is that possible?

I put Petsmart because Petsmart is known for their Synd's being hybrids, hence why I put that. I believe they also do not get as large so I wanted to let everyone know that is where I got them so they would or would not be an issue with the larger cats / fish.
