Hello MFKers,can you guys compare and contrast palmas palmas to palmas buettikoferi

Number of dorsal finlets: 7-10 (Ref. 28149, Ref. 51884). Pectoral fin not reaching dorsal fin origin (Ref. 28149). Here are a picture of each of the species I own.

Top: Polypterus palmas buettikoferi
Bottom: Polypterus palmas palmas

From what I can see, the number of top Dorsal spines is different and the dark pattern for the poly palmas palmas is thicker compared with palmas buettikoferi.

Btw, the base colour seem to be slightly differently for my case. palmas buettikoferi - more yellowish; palmas palmas - greenish to dull yellow.

I wonder if anyone has noticw the difference.
