Dear fellow predatory fish keepers,

I would like to know in your opinions and experiences, which of the 2, namely the 1: lower jawed bichirs and 2: hoplias curupira,

1. Has a longer life span.
2. Is more hardy.
3. Makes a better tank exhibition.
4. More interactive during feeding,I.e.
will chase after live prey.
5. And in your opinion, which of the 2
will you keep if you had to choose
1 as a single specimen in a tank.

Thank you for your inputs!

Any of the Polys are expected 20+ years if kept properly.

I think any poly that is cb (upper jaw or lower jaw) will be very hardy

Depends if you think size or color is better. IMO the best would be a LARGE beautifully colored PBb, lap, or endli.

Hoplias will be a better hunter of live, and honestly keeping one poly in a tank isn't for me, so a Hoplias single specimen tank would be better
