I have a 4" leopard cntenopoma and a 6" senegal bichir in a 55 gal. Can I add a african knife fish or would that be too much?

You would be fine. I used to have the same combo in the same size tank along with some Congo Tetras as well.

yeah i have a sumwut similar setup, seems to be fine, just make you have lots of stuff in your tank so the BGK will have some places to hide and be happy in
