Swimming in a mountain river
Hi. So i'm starting a new tank. Its a 100-120 gal acrylic. My population plan is 2 tiger oscars, a black ghost knifefish, and a pleco. Substrate: medium natural smooth gravel. Filtration: FX5 and an undergravel filter. Circulator if needed. Obviously places for fish to hide as well.

So. I would please like opinions on fish compatibility.Tank size. Substrate. And Filtration. Does it sound like a good setup plan? Any suggestions on filter media, or acceptable undergravel filters would be appreciated as well. Will be setting up in a few months, so i'm giving myself time to plan. Thanks! :)

That souynds like you have it planned pretty well, I'm more of a sand guy to be honest. Sounds like a good setup though, what sort of oscars? Would be very cool to have a breeding pair of nice very red albino veiltails . But I might give the knife a miss, they will outgrow your 120 very soon. Plecos do really well with oscars though from what i've seen. Sounds like a plan!

Yeah I agree on all points. The knife will need to be re-homed but everything else sounds good. No real feedback on the undergravel filter, Im more of a sump guy myself but the FX5 is a good way to go
