I have a heavily planted 90g with a breeding pair of red jewels (who only just figured out that eating fry is counter productive - still only 6 fry out of 200+ eggs at week 2) and a pair of BN plecos.
What else can I add that won't be terrorized by the jewels, terrorize the jewels, or destroy my planted tank? I seperate any fry I want before they are fully free swimming.
I would prefer something that would breed, I do have a rearing tank (has dividers to separate different species/ batches).
Maybe Neolamprologous multifasciatus? I have a two unplanted corners I can put shells in.
I would also like something that would spend a fair amount of time in the upper half of the tank though.
Any ideas?

Spent another 4 hours researching and found a couple lists of possible tank mates:

Salvinis
Jack dempsey
Green terror
convict
firemouth

Would it be possible to add a pair of salvinis and EBJDs to the tank with the jewels? All eggs would be removed asap. Perhaps 6 giant danios as dithers?

Sorry for all the questions.
I am just starting out with cichlids, so I am not too familiar with their habits and I would prefer inquire with those more experienced with these fish.

I routinely keep rainbowfish with hemichromis, no major problems. IMHO red hemichromis don't live up to their aggression rap any more than most other cichlids. Pelvicachromis; for instance, can be every bit as nasty.

of those in the list, I would only go with the firemouths, the salvini would be too aggressive IMO
