Compatibility of Eastern Newts?

Just wanted to know how people felt on keeping on of these cute little guys with fish. I was think a 29 gallon with larger community fish?? If not possible any other fully aquatic amphibians compatible?

Nobody has kept any Newts/Salamanders with fish?

You could try small, non-aggressive native fish with the newts. The thing is, if they are attacked or picked on they can release a poison into the water that can kill fish in the confinements of an aquarium.

ive had paddle tailed newts with small fish before, generally small tetras and the like. I don't know about eastern newts however.

They can get picked on easily by aggressive fish and damaged and since their skin is so delicate it can get infected easily... fish need to not fit in it's mouth and be not aggressive at all.
