Compatibility Question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As long as there isn't a big difference in size then absolutly yes. If one was bigger than the outher then the bigger one would swallow the smaller one.

well that also depends on the size of the tank and the current size of the fish. these are both big fish especially the grouper and will grow quickly if well fed.

As long as your tank is large enough for them to be able to stay clear of eachouther it shouldn't be an issue.

The grouper requires a 300 gallon tank and the volitan requires a 75 so I would say in the 300 they should be just fine.

Sorry, I guess that burst your bubble. Well at least I told you since you didn't allready know. Here is a site to refer to if you want to know more. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=154&N=0

Maybe you should go with the miniatus grouper since they only require a 120 gallon tank and in my opinion are much more pretty when they mature to adult colors.
