I have one azul left. She is around 14-16" and she is just tore up. I have no idea whats doing it. Im going to assume my 16" Dovii is. Now that my male peacock bass has died she has no "body guard" if you will and he is the only one that ever chased the peacocks except for when they were showing signs of breeding then they chased the dovii. I feel bad for her but dont have a tank to move her to either. Anyone house Dovii and Peacocks together? You think this is the culprit? I have a large pacu and rays and oscars and a gar and large catfish but i doubt any of them are doing it. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

Ok im building a 1k tank so maybe ill leave her in the swimming pool by herself, then she can recover and i can get her some friends new friends. My male just died the other day he was 16" and they just started picking on her whoever is doing it. I dont want to lose her too.

What kind of gar? I would doubt a florida gar, spotted, short nose, maybe long nose(?) would do something like that, it also depends on their size.

Its a florida gar somewhere in the neighborhood of 20". Sadly my female died so both my pbass are gone now. Both azuls around 16". Ill be waiting until the end of the summer when i will have my 336 DIY completed and will be dedicated for strictly pbass then i will get more(xingu most likely). Until then im out of the peacock bass keeping.

Sorry for your lose and good luck with the next tank.
