What size tank? N brichardi will take up a lot of space during breeding and they are vicious. You also need to consider dietary differences due to the tropheus being so prone to bloat.

I have experience with daffodil and i am about to get tropheus. I would not try them together. Daffodil are extreamly territorial while they are breeding, and they constantly are. Tropheus also are territorial but in a different way, more towards their own kind.

Another important factor, even with NLS, is dietary needs. Tropheus a herbavores while daffodil are carnavores.

Im my opinion they are both great fish, but i do not think they should be keeped together.

I would worry more about competing for space and territory to breed than food.

I agree this is a bigger issue.
