If they were big enough that the oscar couldn't swallow them. Otherwise they could get lodged in his throat.

I rarely see cories that big though.
 
Even some of the large corydora species grow to 3". Unless you had excellent hiding places and or a very placid oscar, chances are they'll get eaten and the end result is an oscar with a cory spine sticking into its organs.

Never. Besides why take chances when the cories hardly can compete for foods with voracious feeders such as oscars?
