the first one is defintetly it

the 3.5inch ones at the lfs are 60 and the 1inch ones are 14$ i guess the grow slowly huh ?

could i keep 2 of these with some shell dwelllers ?

Ive kept them with Occelatus shellies and Julidochromis. They are pretty peaceful but can eat fry. Yes they grow slowly.

I use to have one that grew .5" in 1 year, The growth rate is very slow. So the answer is yes you can keep them with shell dwellers. Beware, they are sensitive to water changes I had one that died after moving houses. The other fish like my fronts, julies, cyp endured it
