Well my computer has 919GB and last I remembered I have not even used up to 400GB but now my pc shows that I only have 9GB left:irked:. This is not right anyone have any ideas as to why to is happening?

Thanks

Clean up your system restore. I have this problem with my Vista. It's only an 80gig but it takes up about 5-8 gig extra for the system restore function as it keeps "backups" if you will. If you have nearly used 400gb then I can't image the size for multiple restore points.

Warning: Make sure you save at least one. As it's risky to be messing with these files.

First off, that's not your memory, that's your hard drive space. That's kind of a pet peeve of mine when people refer to their hard drive as their memory, the two are completely different and serve totally different purposes.

I would suggest digging through the files on your computer, there's no real way to tell what's on someone else's computer without looking. Do you download torrents, or has someone been using your computer to download torrents?

restore points or a virus..... i lean toward a vrius. get an external drive and save your inportant stuff to it then reformat your hard drive and get a fresh install of windows on it.

Thanks for responses.

Well another 5GB has just been filled overnight without me adding or downloading anything new to computer. I'm beginning to think it's a virus but my Norton antivirus is not detecting anything.

I just ran Space Sniffer and it shows the following:

N360_Backup-554.4GB:irked:.

User-255.9GB

Program files-50.86GB

Downloads-41.03GB

Are you automatically backing up your hard drive?
