I know little about computers and how they work.

BUT

My laptop warranty is up, and my disc drive has stopped working.
instead of taking it to nerd herd or one of the other rip offs and getting scammed, id rather just go the cheaper route, and buy an external disc drive. But i know nothing about them, so if anyone has one or can offer advice of whatever. Links to ones you would suggest buying is always nice too. thanks in advance.

forgot: i would use this mostly to play games, and needs to be usb 2.0

Fantom GreenDrive 1TB External Hard Drive I heard is really good and the 1TBmemory will suit your gamer, video, picture needs...

Um arnt most of the external ones used for writing CD's/DVD's or watching movies? I dont know if they play games...I only know so much about computers...im only half asian...lol...sorry I cant be more help... but this is a good one....

Toshiba - 8x External Portable USB 2.0 Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive
