Since free swimming around the tank my fry are just a little over two weeks old and I can really see some detail and colors in them now. I thought that fry from two black cons couldnt have pink fry? I thought the only way to get a mixed batch was from mixed parents. Out of the hole batch there is probably 1/4 to a 1/3 pinks and the rest blacks.

Both parents are obviously heterozygotes for pink. 1/4 is actually right on the nose - 25 percent are "supposed" to be pink, with heterozygous parents.

One of your parent cons parents must have been pink or there parents ect. happens all the time. They just carry the pink genes.

Makes sense. I just heard otherwise is all. I kinda like the pinks in the group, really sets them apart from the others.
