KNEW JEEZY
Recently aquired a 15 inch clownknife. whenever i feed it cichlid gold sinking pellets, it would develop a small lump, in a couple hours, So, i decided to get an alternative staple.

I then changed it;s food to massivore sinking pellets, whats worst is that, he would eat ten of these pellets, he really likes it, BUT, his stomach would be a lot bigger than befor. Just wanted to know if this symtoms are normal to a clownknife fish this size. thx :( ps, the stomach lump goes away the next day..

It is its belly that is full, he needs to take a poo :-)
Mine does the same and then after a day or 2 it will "relieve" itself and the bump is gone until he eats allot again.

The bump on my fish is a little more towards the back tho, almost on its first spot.

that is what you stomach would look like after you ate a whole turkey...witch is about the same as when they eat...

I've never seen a fish that did not get a bulging stomach after a big meal.

then you have never seen my mono pbass...i think it has tapeworms...i have not seen that fish have a belly since it was 4" long and i have seen it eat 8+ 3" goldfish at the same time...it is 10" of pure hunger...i saw to small bumps in its belly after it ate 2x 5-6" silver aros...basturd...yet i kinda like that damn fish...

ya my mono doesnt really bulge either

I wasn't being entirely literal. My Dats don't gets bulges either. I just meant that it doesn't seem abnormal for a fish to get one after eating.
