Hi,

I have a 5 year old pleco in a 20 gallon aquarium. He is 4 inches long, and is a gray color. I stacked some rocks in my aquarium so that he has his own little "cave":D.

But recently i've noticed him laying on his back (his back is on the gravel) just sitting there. His sucker isn't attached to anything. He just lays there for hours and hours.

Of course, whenever you come near, he spooks and re attaches himself onto the rock.

What is this? Why is he doing this?:help2:

Cheers,
LB

There is another thread like this already. I think everything was OK w/the pleco. and seemed to be just a "thing" it liked to do. Scared the sh*t out of the owner, but the fish was fine.

mine spends too much time with my cories... he does his best to just float and wiggle with them... so weird...

I'm glad to hear that too. I have a big goldie who will lay on his back or his side some times and it got me worried.

Well he's sure chipper for his age. Cleans all the algae off of everything. Even emperor palpatine.

my albino BN does that sometimes too, and its pretty small, i dont think age has anything to do with it
