I would like to build a tank about 15x12x4 ft, can any one tell me if regular concrete blocks could hold up to the 5200 gallons. I was going to reenforce them.

I totally agree personally would hire a professional contractor experienced in masonry.

Very strong for vertical support, but you'll likely need rebar and concrete to use them as an aquarium wall. A covering of sorts (e.g., sealant) will likely be needed for several reasons.

An experienced mason would be able to do this easily, imo, but I'd be careful trying this on your own.

I'm leaning towards the same idea for my tank and I'm sold that a professional mason who has worked on walls that will be exposed to constant high humidity or water is who I need to employ.

I'm sure there's a way to do it yourself, albeit would need to do lots of research.

If you wait a few months, the king of diy is going to be building one just like this
