Does anyone with any real world knowledge know if new apartment structures with concrete floors are actually capable of handling larger amounts of weight

My neighbor works for the company who owns it and there are no size restrictions. I am on the third floor next to the stairs so I am next to the main load bearing structure. 180 gallon plus sump. Building is 2 years old

better get apartment insurance in case you ever have a problem with water damage it is real cheap as far as weight a lot of people use to have water beds and I do not think you would have a problem with a 300gallon tank on a concrete floor

try look up the building code for your area also, should give the minimal specs allowed for building. I know here we have 500KG per square meter.

You may also have a metal plate some where in the building which gives all the properties of the slab. Where it is located is the hard part. you may not even have one.
