i'm planing on constructing a tank for my three pacu, all of which are over 14in in length. what i was planning on, was @ 12ft long x 5ft wide x 4ft deep. i was planning on haveing two viewing windows, probably 4 and a half feet long each. i know to use aircraft quality silicon for the windows. the things i'm sketchy on is the type of concrete to use, how thick the walls will have to be, the type of paint on the inside of the tank to ensure no toxins enter the water, and filtration.
obviously i know i'm going to have to use rebar, any idea on how far down i'm going to have to drill and how far apart do i space them. any suggestions would be great.

why is this in the cold water section, this should be in DIY.

You could skip the viewing windows and just put some plexi-enclosed SUB webcams down into the tank for viewing. There are USB extenders that let you run USB over CAT5 (ethernet) cable for up to 200 feet...

I see alot of people use those concreate cinder blocks, do them like legos, put rebar in the open squares and fill it up with concrete. If you go to the DIY section, there are a few that have step by step on when they made there concrete tank with windows and kind of paint they used.
