I'm somewhat new to the poly game so I'm looking for confirmation on these 2 polys. The LFS had them labeled as ornates which I obviously knew was wrong. I got them fairly small and was hoping for weeksii. They are now about 8-9" and I'm still thinking weeksii but would love to get an expert opinion. They are very active all day long, rarely hide and are feeding like Champs and growing fast. Thanks in advance! 20170109_185129.jpg 20170109_185114.jpg 20170109_185030.jpg

Thanks guys! Yeah they are a blast. I see how people get addicted. These are the most active fish in that specific grow out tank, I did not expect that out of polys

My opinion is not wild caught. They have the Jesus christ symbol on the forehead. That's indicative to farm raised delhezi. The two look nice! Congrats
I agree it's a captive bred but my wild caught delhezis had the jesus Christ symbol too. :)

Ya they had no info on if they were wc or cb but kept arguing me they were ornates They had them on a blue gravel and they actually had a really nice grey color with sharp contrast on their bands. The natural setting in this tank seems to have brought out more of that brown and olive color.

Neat info. Genetically speaking, it had to be passed on to captives. So, makes logical sense. I've seen about 40+ smaller specimens at my lfs from 2-3 batches. They were stubby and 70%+ had the cross.

First pic looks wild caught cause the snout looks pointier than being round.
Definitely still looks CB to me.
Here is one of my old CB next to a WC.

Only photo I could find that showed a clear shot of the cross. I don't remember if my other WC delhezi had it or not.
