I have a newer planted tank with swords, Anubias and cryptocoryne. I went with basic plants that required lower light. The anubias and crypto are doing well. New growth on both. However the swords have completely melted away. The large long leaves that were I present when purchased are gone replaced by short leaves maybe 3 inches long. These are new growth but they are not getting any bigger. I dose tank with flourish and use root tabs on the swords and crypto.
So I guess my assumption is that maybe the tank is not getting enough light to support the swords growth? I did dig one of the swords out and it had a huge root system. I have the lights on for roughly 8 hours per day.
