alright guys i have come to a conflict of interest and a lack of tank space for a compromise :irked:. my problem is do i want to keep monsters or do i want a community tank is the question. i currently have a Senegal bicher, 9 corydoras, 10 white clouds, 1 jewel cichlid (sick), 3 guppies, 1 paradise fish, and a African butterfly fish. i know it sounds like alot even for a 75 gallon. now i was thinking about trading in my Senegal (5" tops) and going for a dwarf cichlid of types. probably start a small colony. if i keep my sen. i would want a medium-ish sized fish to go with him. please give me your opinion along with good suggestions of a fish to keep with my sen . thank you any input

no one?

if I were you, then I get rid everything but the sen, bichirs are way to cool.

there are plenty of relatively small fish that can be kept with your sen...such as mid-size cichlids, like some of the smaller acaras

alright i think i have made up my mind to keep my senegal bichir, i was kinda thinking about getting a second bichir and i kind of wanted to keep it regional in the way of tank mates. what are some good sized non rift lake cichlids that could live with my polys?

Rainbow Cichlids are awesome and gentle fish, get to be 4" or so max. They're sturdy and good eaters, always nice to tankmates. You can keep them with any kind of fish and they won't bother them, yet they're fast enough to get away if being chased. I love em' and recommend them to everyone :-) Here's a picture of one (not mine). I've got 6 of them and won't ever part with them.
(Ok, I'll shut up).
