I just built an enclosure for a dwarf mudskipper and wanted to add some inverts to cycle the tank. Anyone have any luck with ammano shrimp in low end brackish ( somewhere around 1.003 ). I have heard conflicting stories about the Ammanos tolerance to salt some say there fine, other articles I have read said any amount of salt is deadly. Anyone have any experience on this issue?

You might be better off asking this on an aquatic plant forum since aqua scaping, nano fish, and inverts go together hand in hand.

I have ghost shrimp that have survived the brackish water and my puffer for months now at 1.008.

For the larve stage for amano's brackish is actually required but post larve should be dropped to what I have read is 15ppt which is 1.011ish.

My experience with these guys over the last few years is that they are very hardy shrimp, more so that the ghost mentioned above, personally Id add them to my brackish tank if I had any plants that would survive it long enough to need cleaning.
