i had this cichlid for awhile and i have no idea what it is. If i had to pick a cichlid i think it would be close to a red tiger montages hybrid of some-sort because other then that i'm lost please post

Looks like a convict with something...but what that something is, I don't know. His head is two rounded IMHO to be a parachromis hybrid. I swear if I didn't know it was impossible I would say convict and some kind of acara hybrid. But this is not possible. Could be maybe even something in the convict family like a red point honduran hybrid.
Certainly could be forgiven for thinking it, the fin shape, round head, very similar to an acara's. If only eh!

i would have to say that your guess sound the most reasonable but i don't think its a jaguar hybrid because he is red
