hi im treating my clown loachs for ich,the water parameters are where they should be,i do a weekly 20 percent w/c,its a 44g tank with 4c/loachs,2 are 1 inch and the other two are 6 inch, the other fish are a pair of cutteri,1 5 inch jd,2 ebjds at 3 inch, two l182 plecs, its a grow on tank,i have an external tetratec ex700 filter and the jewel internal filter running,i have a large airstone,i feed them once a day on hikari gold and tetra variety wafers.i treat the raw water with cichlasoma live water by azoo,so my small 1 inch c/loachs have white spot, all the other fish are flicking now and again but have no visable white spot,i know they get in the gills aswell, but they are all eating well, this white spot happent 7 days ago and i did the following a 50 percent w/c,added interpet anti white spot at full dose,on day four i added the meds again, the small c/loachs still have white spot the large c/loachs didnt get any yet anyway, the fish all look fine but are still flicking, btw i did rase the temp to 82f,can anyone help, thanks

You'll kill the Loaches if you use meds. With Loaches w/ich I turn the heat up to 87 degrees and add 2 TBS/5 gal salt. Other people use anywhere from 1-2 1/2 TBS/5 gal. It'll take about 3 days for the spots to disappear but I've always kept the salt up for 8-10 days. Do as many water changes as you want, just treat the replacement water with salt. I use plain old pickling salt.
There's a great article at http://www.cichlidforum.com/articles/ich.php
(Hope it's ok to link to that).

good advice..

I don't think warm water and salt will do the trick. I've raise mostly catfish and I had ich a few times. I use copper safe and it works great everytime. Just use half dosages if you continue to use salt and heat your loaches will just end up dying slowly.

You're wrong; salt and heat work fine.
