my rays are still being inactive and not eating as they used to.. i check parameters again today and ammonia was at .1ppm and nitrite at 0ppm and nitrate at about 30-40ppm. they started acting this way right after i sold my silver arowana i had in the tank. it's almost as though they are scared to move around without him. do you think they are just adjusting? temp of tank is at 85ºF. anny suggestions? oh and their colors look great, they are not pale at all, no visible parasites on their discs.. im in the dark here.

Throw in some danios or open water swimmer that is cheap.. This type of 'dither' fish will give them the signal that the 'coast is clear'..

Yeah ever scince i moved my silver arow in to his bigger tank, my parrot fish in his old tank have become very shy, so i had to add a few tiger barbs to bring them out.

I keep rainbow fish in with my ray, cause at first all she did is hide. Now since they have been in there she's fine.

i didnt do anything, they just went back to normal. i think they had to get used to not having that 20" aro up top.

good to hear
