just got a 125 gal tank, it looked like a 125 so i never asked for the dimensions, so i checked it and these are the dims 70x18x20 now some calculations say its a 125 some say 110 some say 112.37 i reaaly need to know what it is can somebody please help me thanks:confused:

works out to a 110. click on Conversions up top, MFK has a calculator for this.

btw, its easy to figure out a tank size on your own:

in inches: LxWxH / 231
in feet: LxWxH x 7.48

It's 110 US gallons.
Assuming the glass is about 10-12mm/1/2" then it's actually 102.
If it's 20" high, this works out at 5Galls per inch, so if the water level is 2" from the top, you'll actually have about 92, minus substrate and decor.

did everybody here go by the conversion on top, cuz i did and it read 112 and a couple of people told me that this was not very accurate ,thanks for helping me out guys i just want to be sure most likely everybody here is right cuz everybody said 110 but if anything changes please let me know thanks again.

i used a plain calculator and got 109.xx. i used MFK's calculator and got 109.25, not sure how you getting 112.

point is the tank is a 110, and thats what it should be sold/advertised as. who cares about a few gallons. theres no point in getting super technical with it.

you could always take empty milk gallon containers and fill it one by one. but then youd have to factor in the thickness of the milk jug, so it might truly not be a gallon either
