ok so i bout this royal gramma that was beat up for like half off. i put him in my quarantine tank for about 3 weeks. no signs of anything. he was eating great and swimming normally, but the only problem was his fins were a bit chewed. after 3 weeks i put him in the show tank because i was convinced that he was okay. for 2 days he was great. and now the other night i saw 3 spots that looked like ich or white spot. and now i notice that if you look at him from the front, he has a thin piece of flesh haning off is mouth like his lips are torn. this morning i woke up and their is no spots but that piece of flesh is still there. what should i do about all this!!!

also he is in a 65 with one soft coral, 3 dartfish and 1 peppermint shrimp. the tank is normal with all readings in the perfect range. the only problem that ive been having was the pH. it was at 7.8, but keeps going from there to 8.3
ive buffered the tank for like 10 days in a row like recommended and so far so good!!!

ive found that gramma's are really sensitive at times ( i know they SAY they are easy fish). if he is eating, and is no longer flicking i would just chill for a bit and see what happens. moving him back to QT may stress it more than what its worth.

no no no, lol i noticed he had ich in the show tank. he was fine in the QT. I took him out of the show tank and put him back in and am feeding him food soaked in guarlic guard. do you think that this will take care of the ich for him. also should i be worried about the other fish in the show tank??? thanks for the reply
