Today my dad went fishing with his friend. He cam back telling me about fish he caught,mostly consisiting of bass and perch. Anyway,he told me he caught a strange silver fish with two barbels on it's chin and little teeth.He said it looked like the fish at the chinese restaurant.His description matches that of an arowana!?Is there such things as wild aro's in the US???

It was in colorado!!!???.He went my grandparents beach house,then went fishing with frenzz to a lake.He said he will try to send me a pic later...

Maybe a Sharptooth Catfish, Clarius. Arrowanas do live in Fla. They have been released to the point of being banned there. Dont think they have teeth tho, maybe more of a "suction" predator, like Catfish, Bass, Carp, Grouper...
etc. If ur sure abou the barbells then not these but if it could have been a mistake could've been: Snakehead, Bowfin, Sleeper Goby, Violet Dragon Goby.
