Snape is growing like a weed. He's pushing 19" and doesn't seem to be slowing down. The tropical gar have taken to following him around when he's in cruise mode.

Good news:

300g poly/gar paradise is now cycling. I've had all the pieces for a while, school and work have just been breaking my back lately. I just finished all of my finals~

Thanks man! Can't wait to get him in the 300g. I threw a handful of jumbo krill in with the k1 this morning. No idea how long this stuff takes to cycle. Its still floating. I think I need another power head and more air to get the boil started, but I'm so beat from finals and finishing up the tank.

Ive read that k1 takes longer than most media to cycle. Hopefully you dont have to wait too long.

If I were you, next time I did a water change I would get a python hose (or something similar) and instead of hooking it up to the sink just siphoning the water into the larger tank. That + literally just throwing media from my filters directly into the tank is how I cycled my tank is less than a week.

Thanks guys! I need that sand asap, Cody :p I can ship out the tank this week if you want.

Already on it, dr. B~

I changed a number of hob filter pads out this morning and threw all the nasty ones into my sump. I'm going to clean my big hobs and canisters tomorrow and do the same with the black water. One of my emporer 500's is wayyyyyyy overloaded with media from an expirament that didn't work out as well as I had hoped it might. I'm staring at it right now but I'm too tired to stand. I'm on week four of 90+ hours split between work, school, finals, and my writing.

Congicus is looking like a beast! Makes me miss my old monster Congicus.
