Got him the other day. I have him in my 600 at the moment. I'm power feeding my Goliath w/feeders so since this guy will only take feeders he'll fit in at the moment. I want to see how big he can get w/relentless feedings...
I remember a couple years back I had a Payara but what discouraged me of keeping them was that he kept hiding. Must of been a differen't species because the Tatu is very outgoing and shoaling. He likes to follow any fast moving fish around the tank. Perhaps he's sizing them up to see if they could be potential prey...LOL
It's pretty kool to see it swim with the Goliath.
Would be awsome to see a school of ATF's and a school of Payaras in one tank
Sounds great R1, I like your combo. I've never owned a tatu or armatus, but scomberoides are pretty shy and boring yes. Cynodon Gibbus are the same.
And yet... another good pickup for R1!

I love your loaches...How old are they ? How big are they ? Gee.. I would do anything to have some .. I use to have 4 .. but when I got my big tank.. they all died.. something went wrong with the move .. had them for over a year.. was really upset.. I can't get anymore .. afraid the bigger fish in the tank would eat them.. you can only get them around here measuring around 1.5-2" . That would be way too small .. and I only have the one tank now. 135gal my pride and joy. But again.. very , very nice fish. Great fish keeping.
