Polypterus endlicheri and polypterus endlicheri congicus are the largest bichir species, now what are there bites like? I know that the Polypterus endlicheri's teeth are very large, can they penetrate human flesh? Also what is their bite force like? Ive assuming that Since their the largest species and show many predatorial traits they probably have strong bites, i hope. So to sum up my question, what is polypterus endlicheri's bite force like and how deadly are their bites and teeth in general?

My Weeksii bit the bag as I was putting it in its tank. It wouldn't let go endded up taking a chunk out of the bag.

excuse the typos sent from my Droid Inc2

I don't believe they have a very strong initial bite but they have the ability to clamp down until the prey is dead.

The biteforce depends on their size,I think lowerjaws has the strongest jaws,My 37cm lap´ has taken a 20cm fossilis cat, four 7-10cm monos that got away from ther floating home,16cm aggressive jag male,2 it´s around 7cm etc etc for me.If it bites, its pray stays.

My 35cm HUUGE jag female got bit over her belly by a 45cm endy, its previous owner had to bend it out from the endys jaws. And to be honest, this jag is fat/muscular like a 45cm male so its no an easy task to hold it down for any fish.
