Congo Puffer tankmates

you could try but its guaranteed that the congo will rip anything apart in a matter of seconds.

yes the useually need to be by them selfs they are pretty territorial and with ambush and bite passing fish to scare them of or to eat them the thing is that it would only take one bite from a puffer to kill it they just shred fish

Rocks, wood and occasionally plants are good tankmates.

I heard that they dont bother plecos for some reason. Also do you think an armored catfish would be ok? Do congo puffers get along with eachother? - Thanks

They are burrowers, so they prefer about 3" of sand that should be thoroughly stirred weekly. Mine doesn't touch snails, so a large apple snail might work as a maid. Bit a pleco in half. They go for the soft underbelly.

Maybe in a large tank, like a 55g with a ton of decor. And pray they aren't 2 males! Still a good chance they could kill each other...

i think you'll need more than a 55g try 100g.
