Meet Mr. Chunky. I would always pass his tank and he would perk right up as I walked past. I eventually gave in. I have him a tank of his own but waiting for some sand so in the mean time I got my 55 with a divider. A Cory slipped past and the Congo was right on him but luckily only had his back half in and spit him out right away. I come home from work and my golden wonder killie got over somehow (I have a glass top) and my girlfriend saids he's just been following him around all night. Anyway say hi. Have a 5 gallon with some rcs breeding and snails. Going to try to get him on frozen food at least. He was pink at the fish store but now he's a yellow almost brown. But he had no substrate in that tank.

Cool puffer. Always wanted one. Nice color. I always like the way it burried itself and took down food (live ones).

Just an FYI, Congos WILL NOT eat snails, they are piscivores by nature... So try defrosted frozen foods etc, but dont excpect a congo to take care of any snails...

As for the color, i used to own one, at the store when i bought him, he was bright red, by the time i go home, he was brownish color like in your pic... So not sure if i you can can him to revert his color, but maybe you'll have more luck than me in that department...

Okay cool thanks for the advice! I'll hold off on the snails. I'll just keep a steady supply of shrimp, guppies, crawfish, and whatever else he enjoys.
